Think about a home that works for you

Consider your daily routine, budget and the support you want.

By Kitewise · 1 min read · Updated 28 September 2026

An adult and a friend consider a potential home together.

Describe an ordinary day

Consider meals, cleaning, transport, privacy, visitors and sensory comfort. Which things do you want to do yourself, share or receive support with? Support needs are not a personal failure.

Compare real options

For each possible home, ask about cost, access, household expectations and who provides support. Visit if possible. Housing availability and funding differ by place; an advertised service is not a guarantee of eligibility.

Choose a next question

You do not need a complete moving plan today. Write the most important unanswered question and identify a person or local service that can help answer it.
